Personal Property
The Commissioner of Revenue’s office has sent out personal property forms. They should be checked for accuracy and returned. Anyone who did not receive a form should call the office at 675-3513.
The office is also beginning to accept applications for tax relief for the low income elderly and disabled. Call the office for information or an appointment.
Burning Law
Between March 1 and May 15 it is illegal to have open fires eithin 300 feet of woodland, brushland or a field containing dry grass or other flammable materials from midnight to 4 p.m.

The General Assembly of Virginia is providing a toll-free Constituent Viewpoint hotline. The hotline will allow citizens to voice their opinions on legislative issues during the session. The number is (800) 899-0229.
