Amissville Family Community Educators (FCE) Club (formerly Homemakers) will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 4 at Amissville Baptist. Program on “Planning the Spring Garden.” The public is invited to attend.
Amissville Health and Fitness Support Group meets Tuesdays, from 11 a.m. to noon at Amissville United Methodist Church. They are currently discussing Dr. Art Ulene’s program on weight loss. Members are reminded to take measurements before next Tuesday’s meeting to determine number of inches lost this month. For more details call Cathy at 937-5024. The public is invited to attend.
Hartland Institute of Health and Education’s cooking class and health seminar continues from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 29 and next Thursday, March 7. Tomorrow night’s session will be on “Fats.” Next Thursdays on “Protein.” Cost for individual sessions is $5. To register, call 672-3100 or come early to register. The seminar is being held at the Wellness Center on Route 614, one mile off Route 15, about eight miles south-east of Culpeper.

A fund-drive mail-out should be ready by April 1. The Amissville Ruritan Club’s Board of Director’s meeting will be held at Club president Bill Segrest’ home at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5.
