The character virtue topic of the month of February is kindness. Principal Raye Tupper has been visiting kindergarten through 3rd grade classes and reading the book The Giving Tree and discussing kindness and gentleness with the children.
Mrs. Payne’s kindergarten class has been studying winter. What a good example this winter has been. Some topics have been how to dress to stay warm and what animals do during the winter for food and shelter. The children are also charting daily weather changes and observations. They have been doing science experiments with ice, how it melts and how temperature affects the melting. Young scientists and meteorologists at work!
