grade. Her class has been studying ancient civilizations in India, China and Mesopotamia. The students also have been reading The Island of the Blue Dolphins and watched the movie and then compared the two. Arch Campbell look out!
Miss Rudoloph’s 6th grade science students are studying the periodic table. They are making models and drawings of their favorite elements and having a good time doing that. They are also making all kinds of concoctions, such as slime and gak.
Miss Tillinghast’s 3rd grade class presented a play called “In Search of the Christmas Spirit,” to their parents and the other 3rd and 4th grade classes. Miss Tillinghast was assisted by Miss Gubler, the teacher for the gifted and talented. Each child had at least two parts, and everyone helped make the scenery and props.
The seventh grade teachers have started a new incentive program. The students know what is expected of them: to behave in class and complete their work and accept their responsibilities as 7th graders.
In return there is an activity they will be invited to. The first activity was a sports day, and a dance is scheduled for the next event. The kids are very excited about this new program. It gives them more social activities which seventh graders enjoy.
