Country Kids Playgroup Meets

Country Kids Playgroup meets every Monday and Thursday from 10 to noon at the Jeffersonton Community Center in Jeffersonton now through May.

The non-profit playgroup is for parents and children ages infant to 4. Toys are supplied, activities and field trips ar planned. Minimal dues arecharged to help cover cost of rent. Support Group To Meet

The Parkenson’s Disease Support Group will meet every second Saturday of the month at St. John’s Old School Building in Warrenton. For more information call 349-1344.

Christian Singles To Meet

The Culpeper Are Christian Singles will have a Bowling/Pizza night on Saturday, March 30. Meet at the Culpeper Bowling Lanes at 4:30 p.m. If bowling isn’t your game, meet afterwards at the Culpeper Assembly of God at 7:30 p.m. for pizza. Adult Education Classes Set

Free adult education classes meet from 7-9 p.m. Monday and Wednesday evenings in the basement of the Rappahannock County Public Library. Because all study is individual, persons may join the class at any time.

The staff requests that new students come for the first time on Wednesdays because there are more volunteers to help with intake on : that evening. To register or get more information call 1-800-371-7380.

Plans Underway For Celebration

It s hard to believe, what with the snow and cold temperatures, but the Rappahannock Association for the Arts and Community (RAAC), the organization in charge of the Town of Washington’s 4th of July festivi- • ties, has begun meeting to make preparations for the day-long celebration • and evening fireworks display.

What is needed, says Ellen Manson, chairman of the 4th of July Committee, are volunteers and persons interested in working on various committees handling publicity, parking, logistics, vendors and performances.
