“Discovering 2000:
Works in Process
Members of Middle Street Gallery will host an event, Discovering 2000: Works in Process from Jan. 8 through Feb. 27.
January gallery hours are Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
February hours will be Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
This ‘works in progress’ show will feature artists working in a variety of media: painters, printmakers, ceramists, fiber artists, sculptors, and some who combine two or more of these talents.
Visitors will be able to see: the beauty of paperwork before it is framed under glass; how an oil painting progresses through many layers; the stages of building, forming, or carving sculptures and ceramics; the delicate layering of fiber art construction; and the use of unique “found objects’ in art creation.
Ajso during some open gallery hours, artists will be present and working on their particular projects. This will occur at random, but as often as possible.
