Roy Brown Leake, 79, of Sperryville died on Tuesday, Dec. 21 at his residence. . Mr. Leake was bom Oct. 16, 1920 in Rappahannock County.
He was a retired fanner and warehouse manager.
Mr. Leake was a member pf Thornton Gap Regular Baptist Church, Commander of VFW Post 1150 at Sperryville; Charter Member of the Sperryville Fire Department and of the Gideons.
His parents were the late Herbert Leake and Eugie Woodard Leake.
Survivors include his wife, Lecie Atkins Leake of Sperryville; a daughter, Linda L. Kline of White Post and a son, Steve M. Leake of Sperryville.
Also surviving are five grandchildren, Roy Scott Kline of Fairfax, Melissa Kline Herndon of Manassas Park, Jennifer L. Deal, Crystal Renee Leake and Roy Taylor Leake, all of Sperryville.
He was predeceased by two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services were conducted on Friday, Dec. 24 at Clore-English Funeral Home by the Rev. Jon Heddleston and Rev. Kirby Shenk.
Burial was at Sperryville Cemetery with honors by American Legion Post 330 and VFW Post 2524.
