SORROW AND
MATURATION
When adolescents engage in reckless behavior, it is often said that they behave as if they will live forever. In time, of course, we all act more responsibly as a result of having to face the realties of life and death. As Joan Adams wrote in a letter to Thamas Jefferson, “Grief-drives meil into habits of serious reflection, sharpens the understanding, and softens the heart.” Thus, it is that sorrow that has a sobering influence on our lives, forcing us into a realization that life’s path is not always straight and unimpeded. Paths may be diverted, and even truncated. Maturation also involves a healthy appreciation of those with whom we share the path.
Never are we faced more squarely with life’s mystery and challenge as when we unexpectedly lose someone we love. Never is it more difficult than when one loses someone wfto is young. At the Moser Funeral Home, we want you to know that you can lean on us for support. We understand that grief takes many forms, and we’re happy to offer a listening ear or support with the details-anything that can make your life easier. Call 347-3431, 233 Broadview Avenue, 24-hours a day. Bright View Cemetery is located just outside Warrenton.
