How long have you been in the county? Are you new to the
area, say a few years or so? Or are you one of those people who have been in the area all your life and the same goes for several generations before you?
We are students from RCHS and also reporters for our high school newspaper, The Rapport. Our goal as a staff is to try to get out at least three editions of our paper each school year. But we need some help.
The millennium is just around the comer and we want to jazz things up a bit. As young “reporters” we all feel that our job is to write articles that not only interest our classmates, our teachers, our families, and our friends, but to write articles that will call the interest of everyone!
There are a lot of Rappahannock County residents that have been here for years. Many have graduated from RCHS. In fact, that is really whom we direct this particular article to.
Here is our plan, our staff has decided to prepare a series of articles about the history of Rappahannock County High School. We are all working on gathering information about the school’s developments from 1959 tt) the present.
RCHS has undergone many changes and advancements over the past forty years! Still, the improvement process is still taking place. RCHS continues to improve and enhance itself. As of right now, the high school is in the scheme of having an outstanding new addition built.
However, our research for the past has not been easy. It turns out that some of the information that we need is not accessible. We feel this can be a very interesting article, but without facts there is no article.
