She was predeceased by her husband, James W. Wayland Sr., formerly of Rappahannock County.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, Dec. 28 at Found and Sons Chapel with the Rev. John S. Farrar officiating.
Interment was in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers were. Mike Keesling, Donnie Lamb, Paul SuPrise, Steve Brown, George Ritter and James Hall.

Robert Newton Hughes, * 73, of Lebanon Church died Tuesday, Dec. 21 at his home.
Graveside family services were conducted Friday at Lebanon Church Cemetery with Rev. Lee Brumback and Rev. James Duley officiating. ’
Mr. Hughes was bom Sept. 17, 1926 in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., the son of the late Albert H. and Anna May Britton Hughes.
He was a member of the Lebanon Lutheran Church and former lay minister in the United Methodist Church.
He was a Certified Family Financial Planner and had been employed by First Union National Bank in Charlotte, N.C. for 20 years.
