He is survived by his daughter, Judy K. Meredith of Fredericksburg; a daughterin-law, Patricia Meredith of Madison and six grandchildren.
Additional survivors include five brothers, Hughie Meredith of Woodville, Thomas Meredith of Culpeper, Billy Meredith and Nicky Meredith, both of Reva and Bobby Meredith of Madison.
He was predeceased by his wife, Alice J. Meredith; a son, Leonard Wayne Meredith and a brother, Gene Meredith.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday at Found and Sons Chapel with the Rev. Tim Atkins officiating.
Interment followed in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ike Crickenburger, Ronnie Putnam, Justin Furgason, Jeremy Meredith, Eric Meredith, Nathan Harrison, Melvin Marks and Mike Foster.
