On Feb. 25, nine county teachers and a local parent received grant money from Headwaters, The Rappahannock County Public Education Foundation. The ten recipients had all submitted grant proposals to the Headwaters MiniGrant program in early January.
The grants from Headwaters, a non-profit foundation funded entirely by contributions from local citizens, will allow the implementation of classroom projects not currently covered by the school budget. Headwaters applauds those who received grants for their innovative thinking and wishes them well as they undertake these new and exciting projects.
