Susanne Louisell

Occupation: Store Manager, Faith Mountain Company. Accomplishments: Susanne started with Faith Mountain in April of 1998 as the Training Coordinator in the Human Resources Department. In October of 1999, she was promoted to Store Manager of the Faith Mountain Company Retail Store. Along with the day to day duties of managing a 10,000 square foot store, Susanne also chooses and buys merchandise for the store. “One of the biggest challenges is the buying, the gift marts and the vendors have so many things to pick from,” said Susanne. She says she double checks her decisions by asking a simple question. Does this look authentic, handcrafted and country inspired? If the answer is yes the item will end up in the store. “Anyone who is in the store with me can see the passion I tiave for the items I buy for the store, I get so excited when I see them selling.” Susanne also works part time as a ski instructor with the Ski Club of Washington D.C. Ski School. “I love the outdoors and I love to ski, I teach because I want others to fall in love with the sport just like I did.” Susanne teaches on the Club’s Learn to Ski trips as well as leads clinics for the instructors to improve their skiing and their teaching ability. She has been a member of the Professional Ski Instructors of America for 11 years. Susanne grew up with her family in Clifton. Susanne graduated from The Madeira School in 1984 and received a BA in Economics from George Mason University. She moved to western Fauquier County seven years ago with her husband, Mark Mesick, their Labradors and a Jack Russell puppy. She finds time to enjoy the beautiful countryside by Jiorseback and is a member of The Old Dominion Hounds. “My friends would ask why I moved so far out, I would just reply that ;it’s a quieter, more gentle life out here and I never have to ‘get away’ for some quality time” remarked Suzanne.
