through 12 may enter the creation of their choice which will be on display outside of The Theatre (facing the Kramer Building) during the day’s festivities. Parent volunteer Deborah Flournoy is chairing this event. If you have questions, please call her at 6753212 or Jan Makela at 987-8259.
All entries must be accompanied by a registration form and turned in to RCES Art Teacher Harriette Rosenblatt or Jan Makela by June 15 (the last day of school). Registration forms may be picked up in the offices of RCES or RCHS.
• The RCES PTO Book exchange collection box is overflowing! We are extremely grateful for the support this project is getting. If, however, you have not yet had a chance to go through your child’s books, it is not too late. We will continue to collect until DARE Day. Be sure to stop by the PTO table on DARE Day with your Child to pick out a special book to take home. We are hopeful that every child will get to take home one new book thanks to the generosity of so many folks. The PTO will be accepting five, ten and 25 cent donations for the books. These funds will be used to support a variety of projects around the school. Thanks to Mrs. Deborah Flournoy for chairing this wonderful activity.
• RCES students in designated grades, three, five and eight, took their SOL tests last week, and now everyone is sighing a breath of relief. The students and teachers have worked extremely hard to prepare for these tests this year and we are hopeful that their efforts have paid off!
