At the top of the ridge, before making a drop over into the other hollow, there’s another road to the right and straight up the mountain. Whether an old established road, a logging road or one made in recent years I do not know but it would appear logically this was too steep but for man or beast to traverse, early automobiles could not have made it. There is evidence of, and accounts of other routes less strenuous on man or beast which were of a gradual grade.
