Partly? she tells us, she saw an opportunity to do something interesting and useful, and partly, she was grateful for some assistance she had been given by the State Police, some time earlier, and wanted to givesomething back.
She attributes the number of hours volunteered since then to the combination of several factors.
She finds working with the police constantly interesting and has the highest regard for those she helps out. They are, in her words, “a cut above” and are wonderful people to be around. Also, recently they have had a lot more need, and she has been in a position where she is able to help out.
