Gary K. Madson, a Culpeper county farmer, was sworn in as a Director of the five county Culpeper Soil and Water Conservation District (CSWCD). He was appointed by the Virginia S(iil and Water Conservation Board to fill the unexpired term of Shirley Adams who has moved from the District. - Madson, whose term expires Jan. 1, 2003, and his wife, Mary, own and operate a 188 acre form near Rixeyville. They produce commercial Hereford cattle, wheat, soybeans, and commercial hay. Mrs. Madson also owns and operates Artistic License, an art supply store on Davis Street in Culpeper.
