played from Friday night to Tuesday. The teams playing were from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, Manassas, and two teams from North Carolina.
The rains caused some of the games to be delayed, but the final game was Tuesday afternoon between Florida and Winchester. These teams were well matched, and I'm happy to say Winchester All Stars' won the tournament undefeated. What excitement for all the team, parents and grandparents.
Mr. and Mrs. Billy Wayland and Tiffany returned home on Sunday evening after spending five days touring places of interest which included Niagara Falls. Tiffany thoroughly enjoyed The Falls.
Bible school will be held on Aug. 14-18 at the Sperryville United Methodist Church. All the young people in the community are invited to attend. The closing will be a picnic at the Rappahannock Park on Friday.
