Hello everyone! I hope your week was a good one. I sure wish the rain would stop. Let's see what is happening in your hometown this week.

First up, The Amissville Area Community Association will meet on Thursday, Aug. 10 at the Amissville Methodist Church. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m. On the agenda is a Post Office update, the Jackson District Survey result, and the Fall Festival.

Speaking of the Fall Festival, we would like to have a local Bluegrass Band perform on the carnival grounds. If you know of anyone who needs some good publicity, have him or her give me a call at 937-3401. The festival is really coming together, there are lots of groups signed up for many different things.
