Additional responsibilities for the contractor could include:
1. The preparation of the necessary nomination documentation for any homes or districts deemed suitable for the Virginia or National Landmark Register. (This, no doubt, would require additional money.)
2. The writing and publishing of a quality book that would detail the historic properties of the county. Such a book would be similar to Maral S. Kalbian’s Frederick County, Virginia: History through Architecture at the Rappahannock Historical Society. (Getting the book written and published would require a considerable extra expenditure—around $20,000 at least—and would be a separate issue from the survey itself.)
