Flint Hill artist Sandra Forbush has recently been selected to associate membership in the American Academy of Equine Art, and two of her paintings have been chosen for this year’s AAEA Fall Open Juried Show.
Paintings that were selected are “Foxfleld Steeplechase”, used for the race’s 2001 poster, and “Joint Meet”, which shows riders with the Old Dominion Hounds visiting with cappers at a check. This year’s AAEA show will be held at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Ky., Sept. 14 through Oct. 28.
Other works by Forbush used for posters this year include the Smithsonian Animal Conservation Center Fall Festival and the Old Dominion Point-to-Point. She is currently designing note cards for the Museum of Hounds and Hunting.
