Information will be sent home with students and we hope that we can count on all of you to support this effort.
• If you are wondering how to help at RCHS, perhaps these ideas will help you get started. First, please plan to attend the RCHS Parents’ Advisory Council (PAC) meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 12. This first meeting will be a Brown Bag Lunch at noon in the RCHS Culinary Aits room. This organization is a gfeat place to become involved in projects that will enhance the education of all of our children. There is always an opportunity for questions and answers at the end of each session.
• PAC meetings are scheduled for the second Wednesday of each month, alternating between lunch meetings and evening meetings. If you are unable to attend, please encourage someone else to attend in : your place. « « • Other volunteer opportu-‘ mties at RCHS include answering phones in the office. This frees our secretary to assist the Guidance Department as they attend to your childrens’ needs. The library can always use assistance shelving books (a job that never seems to end), teachers need assistance with copying, filing etc., and, of course, tutors are always needed in a variety of areas. Please call Jan Makela, Volunteer Coordinator, right away to offer your assistance (987-8259).
• Rhonda Jenkins will be directing the RCES Intramurals Program again this year with some minor modifications. Students in grades four and five will stay on Mondays and Tuesdays; sixth and seventh grade students will stay on
