The Blue Ridge Civil War Round Table begins its 2003 monthly lee's ture series with a talk by a noted Civil War battlefield preservationist on the heroic exploits of Civil War hero Major John Pelham.
The public is invited to listen to Robert Lee Hodge— who has been involved with battlefield preservation since 1991—at the Round Table’s monthly meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 21 from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Rappahannock County library.
Mr. Hodge, who will be talking about “The Gallant Pelham" and also about battlefield preservation, has organized fundraisers that have garnered over $100,000 over the years for the purchase of endangered Civil War sites.
He is a writer, consultant and film producer. His production company has produced two award-winning documentaries— “Saving Civil War Battlefields" and “Manassas: 1861."
