• Mr. Estes reported that Franklin Warner had informed him that he had established a 501-c (3) organization to work on the disposition of the Scrabble School, and the board agreed to allow Mr. Warner additional time to pursue his cause;
• The board discussed the Federal Livestock Compensation Program that Rappahannock County farmers werevnot able to take advantage^, but no conclusion was reached as to steps that may improve local farmers’ chances of exploiting such programs;
• The board agreed to permit Mr. McCarthy to write to the Virginia State Police and ask for the full complement of troopers in the county. Mr. McCarthy reported ,. that Rappahannock is permitted four troopers, but currently has only two;
• The board approved a motion to create a new budget line item so that wireless E-911 equipment can be acquired. The funding for the equipment and the mandate to provide for cell phone E911 service comes from the state.
