Basketball is back into full swing, with a number of games planned for this week.

Team members who were in town met over the Christmas Break to practice.

Okan Camci, who lives in Istanbul, Turkey, played every day at home, knowing he’d have a home game this week when he got back.

What looks like so much work to me is such a passion for these athletes. They live with a basketball in their hands. If there’s a flat space with a hoop, they’re playing.

I see it in their faces as they walk off the courts after blowing a shot; they’ve made that shot a thousand times.

What went wrong? Of course, I see it in the faces of the families and friends, too.

An impossible shot sails through the air, swishes through the net. Pandemonium breaks loose. What a game.

Our Winter Open House will be held Sunday, Feb. 9, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. New families are invited to tour the school, meet the teachers, and speak with students.

Enrollment for Fall 2003-2004 begins that day.

For more information, please call Mrs. Ginny Leser, Director of Admissions, at (540) 6358555, or email her at: gleser@rmaonline.net.

Have a safe week.
