Community events begin with Rappahannock County’s twelfth annual Martin Luther King Day Observance on Jan. 19, at which the guest speaker is Dr. Belle Whelan, Secretary of Education for the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Other community events include a variety show presented and performed by members of the Washington Baptist Church, and a music contest organized by the Rappahannock Lions Club for local school children.
Films are presented at the Theatre twice monthly, on Friday nights, by the Rappahannock Association for Arts and the Community (RAAC), and include “Road to Perdition,” “My Big Fat Greek Wedding,” “The Spanish Prisoner,” “Frida,” and “Die Another Day.”
