Sheriff”s Office to one or more sites on Hickerson Mountain (Massies Corner), Red Oak Mountain (Woodville) and Hogback Mountain (Shenandoah National Park).

Mr. Biby reported signal coverage on county roads and trails of from 90.2 to 99.7 percent using one or more of the proposed base communications site locations.

He suggested that the county enter into an agreement with the park for the use of the Hogback site and enter into discussions with the owners of the proposed locations on Red Oak and Hickerson mountains for their use as well.

The Board agreed by consensus for Mr. McCarthy to begin the process by submitting an application to the Federal Communications Commission for a 150-MHz license.
