Admissions h Wakefield Country Day School students received an extra day of vacation this week, due to the snowfall that blanketed •most of the counties surrounding the school.
Although most students feel ready to come back and get back into a normal schedule, they didn’t mind sleeping in Monday morning.
Our international students trickled in; some were delayed because of the snow. It’s great to see everyone— the school is too quiet when it’s empty.
With exams over, students and teachers alike are ready to tackle Semester II.
Report cards will go out next week. Students taking part in this year’s Destination Imagination met at the school last week to work on projects and formulate plans.
It’s gratifying to see the excitement that is generated when a group of students gets together to work on outside projects. I love seeing the parents jump in and volunteer to be Team Leaders, and the kids love having their parents involved.
D.I., as it’s known around school, requires a lot of planning and critical thinking.
