The Board of Supervisors public hearing Monday on the school budget was in marked contrast to the one conducted last year.

The budget proposed this year by Acting Superintendent Helen Williams and the School Board is significantly higher than that proposed last year by Dr. David Gangel ($9,728,007 versus $8,954,676) and would require a much greater increase in the local contribution ($919,000 versus $210,000).
