Gene Marshall Dodson, 62, of Viewtown died on April 22.
He was born Jan. 14, 1941 in Rixeyville to the late Eugene Marshall Dodson and Dorothy Belle Dodson.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Linda B. Dodson, two children, Heather Dodson and Travis Dodson of Viewtown; and three grandchildren, Katlyn, Laylin and Madyson.
Additional survivors include four sisters, Sherlean Wayland, Joyce Wilson, Gloria Switzer and Janet Hitt; one brother, Ronald Dodson; a sister-in-law, Dixie Dodson; and ten nephews and six nieces.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence W. Dodson, a brother-in-law, Lawrence B. Wayland and a nephew, Richard A. Dodson.
He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and served in Korea.
The family received friends on April 26 at Gourdvine Baptist Church with Rev. John L. Miller and Rev. Milton Switzer officiating.
Interment followed in Gourdvine Baptist Church cemetery with honors provided by the Culpeper American Legion Post #330 and the Culpeper V.F.W. Post #2524.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, Va. 22701.
