‘Culpeper Days ’

The Voices of the Blue Ridge Area Arts Festival and Culpeper Ruritan’s 25th annual “Culpeper Days” will be held on Saturday, May 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in downtown Culpeper. The festival includes over 70 vendors and exhibitors, a silent auction, music, a Civil War walking tour and a karate exposition.

Choral concerts

“Let Freedom Ring” is the theme of the annual spring concerts by the Culpeper-Piedmont Choral Society, the Madison Choral Society and Madison High School Band on May 2 and 3. Performances on May 2 are at 7:30 p.m. at St. Andrews Chapel at Woodberry Forest School in Madison County and on May 3 at the Culpeper Baptist Church, 318 West Street in Culpeper. Both are free.

Amissville yard sale

The Amissville United Methodist Women will hold a yard sale on Saturday, May 3 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Route 211 in Amissville. All proceeds benefit the new kitchen proposed in the church building fund. For more information, call 9878819.

Parenting classes on teens

A parenting workshop on how to raise teenagers will be held on Wednesdays through May 14, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Library. It is sponsored by the Department of Social Services at no cost. Advance registration is required. Call 675-3313 or 937-2155.

Parents meeting

There is a parents’ meeting on Monday, May 5 at the Rappahannock County High School at 7:30 p.m. for all interested in trying out for the 2003 cheerleading fall season. Tryouts for both JV and Varsity Squads will be June 2- 5.

Stained glass classes

A series of stained glass classes is being offered by DeDanann Glassworks on Tuesday nights, beginning May 13 from 7-9 p.m. Fee for six weeks is $125. For more information, call 987-8615.
