Roadside dumping in Rappahannock County is almost out of hand, the state highway department said this week. A spokesman said it is one of the most serious problems faced by resident engineer J. E. Johnson.
Newbill Miller and Bobby Atkins brought glory to Rappahannock County yesterday at Charlottesville when Newbill’s Angus calf was declared reserve champion and Bobby’s calf won fourth place in the light-weight Angus class. Newbill, 14, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. D. D. Miller of Washington who are strong in their praise of County Agent W. H. Lyne, by whose encouragement and help the boys are doing so - well with their 4-h work.
