It also found that only five percent of the owners considered farming their primary occupation and that 41 percent of the land was opened by people with incomes of at least $50,000.

The owners who reported incomes of $50,000 or more made up only nine percent of the county’s population. By contrast, owners with inmme under $10,000 made up 31 percent of the total population but owned only 13 percent of the land.
