Evening oj Broadway

Montpelier Wine Festival

James Madison’s Montpelier will host its annual wine festival on Saturday, May 3 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday, May 4 from 12 noon to 5 p.m., rain or shine. Tickets are $10 in advance; $15 at the gate and include a souvenir wine glass and tastings.

Women’s Day on May 4

The Hopewell Baptist Church will hold a Women’s Day on . Sunday, May 4 at 3 p.m. The theme is “Woman Thou Art Loosed." Presenters are Rev. Naomi Rowe, Minister Hattie Slaughter and Rev. Anna Allsberry.

Rodney Eagle to visit

County residents are invited to meet and ask questions of Rodney Eagle, the Independent candidate for the State Senate seat representing Rappahannock. Community Prayer Service

Community Prayer Service” continues to be observed at Trinity Episcopal Church on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. This is a time of corporate prayer for the conclusion of the war in Iraq and for the safety of all involved in this difficult transition stage. The event is sponsored by Trinity Episcopal Church and the Washington Baptist Church.

Bus trip to see play

A one-day bus trip to see the “DANIEL” play in Strasburg, Pa. has been planned by the Washington Baptist Church for Saturday, June 7. The cost is $95 for ages 13 and up and $87 for children 3-12 and includes a ticket to the play, supper and bus fare. Call 675-3336.
