Rappahannock County has long been known as a haven for artists, and a recent gallery opening in Flint Hill plans to take advantage of that largess of talent.
“I was interested in having studio space myself,” said Rosemary Markowski.
She knew Tacie Jones, and Jones knew Cat White. . . .
“And it all came together in three weeks,” White said.
Gallery Alba, located just past the post office building on Route 522, was the result. Opened officially on April 4, the gallery had its grand opening last Saturday.
The walls are covered with the works of the proprietors as well as those of other local artists. There are varying styles and subjects.
