Summer trail rides

Fireman ’s carnival
An old-fashioned country carnival will be held June 11 - 14 on the grounds of the Flint Hill Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. The parade is on Friday, June 13. The Commonwealth Veterans Affairs Claims Agent from Quantico, Walt Phillips, will conduct assistance visits to the Virginia Employment Commission in Culpeper on Tuesday. ‘Dog Day Afternoon ’
The Rappahannock Animal Welfare League (RAWL) will hold its third annual Dog Day Afternoon on Saturday, May 31 from 12 noon to 5 p.m. Rain date is Sunday, June 1. RCHS class reunion
The Rappahannock County High School Class of 1958 will hold its 45th class reunion on June 29 at the Rappahannock County Recreation pavilion from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Graduates from 1952 through 1963 and their families are invited, along with any teachers of that time. Gid Brown homecoming
The 31st anniversary homecoming will be held June 1 at Gid Brown Bible Baptist Church in Washington beginning at 10 a.m with the Rochester Family singing. Lunch will be served at 12 noon followed by the Rochester Family singing again at 1:30 p.m. and preaching. Everyone is welcome.
