Shaffer noted that Todd Morgan donated and set up a new computer in the children’s room that will provide searchable access to the catalog.
Charlotte Nichols raised the issue of the board member attendance policy because of the consistent absences of two members. Library Board President Hallee Morgan said that she would begin emailing meeting reminders to board members in an attempt to reduce the rate of absenteeism.
Van Dort suggested that meetings be held bimonthly, in lieu of monthly, but Jim Gannon said that he felt that monthly meetings are valuable.
Morgan said that a discussion of the meeting schedule will be included in the June meeting agenda.
