Ruth Edna Frazier Clark, 74, of Washington died June 16 at her residence.
She was bom Feb. 1, 1930 in Rappahannock County to the late Robert L. Frazier and Sarah Alice Jenkins Frazier.
She wrote the “Washington Column" for the Rappahannock News for more than 50 years.
Mrs. Clark was a member of the Washington Baptist Church. She was founder of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Washington Volunteer Fire Department and a volunteer for the Washington Ladies Auxiliary Thrift Shop. She wofked at Grandma’s Attic for many years.
She was a very devoted wife and mother, and loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly.
M^s. Clark is survived by her husband of 58 years, Edward M. Clark; two daughters, Ruth Ann Foster and her husband, Charles . of Chesterfield, Mich.; and Sarah Clark Brown and her fiancj), Kenny E. Miller of Washington; four grandchildren, John Richard “Richie” Eastham, Jr., Edna Kay Ouellette, Amanda Rae Brown and Bobbie Jo Brown; and five great grandchildren, Samantha Dawn Falls, Robert Weldon Falls, Julius Baine Eastham, Malik Avant Brown, and Carter Mathias Leon Brown.
She is also survived by one brother, Bobby Lee Frazier and his wife, Tansy of Castleton.
A funeral service was held June 20 at the Washington Baptist Church with Rev. Phil Bailey officiating. Interment followed in Washington Masonic Cemetery.
