A funeral service was held June 16 at Found and Sons Chapel with Pastor Bruce Fincham officiating.
Interment followed in Fairview Cemetery next to his beloved wife, Lula.

Sherry Lynn East Weaver, 57, of Flint Hill passed away June 17 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Front Royal.
She was born April 30, 1947, in East Peoria, 111.,, daughter of Homer and Ardis East of Flint Hill. She moved to Maryland with her parents where she attended Upper Marlboro Elementary School and Suitland High School. After her marriage and birth of a daughter, Sara Jane, they moved to Reston, Va., where she worked for the National Orthopedic Hospital and later at the National Turkey Federation.
She attended St. Anne's Episcopal Church in Reston. After her illness began she moved to Flint Hill and resided with her parents. She was preceded in death by one brother.
In addition to her parents 1 she is survived by her daughter, Sara Jane “Sally” Shelton: two grandchildren Phillip Shelton and Victoria Shelton all of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two brothers, Thomas East of Flint Hill and William East and his wife Jane of Waldorf, Md; one niece, and three nephews; and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A funeral service was held June 19 at Maddox Funeral Home with the Rev. Merlin Shorb officiating. A private interment will follow at a later date at Flint Hill Cemetery.
