Shell stations

Shell is another example. The Quarles Quicke Mart along Route 211 was a Mobil station, but became a Shell station at the beginning of the year.

Shell has 22,000 stations in the U.S., and is part of the Royal Dutch/Shell Group. Shell had sales of $60 billion in 2002.

These 22,000 stations are participating in a “Retail Visual Identity” program as part of Shell Oil’s worldwide effort for a common physical image. From China to the Sudan to the United States, it is costing Shell $531 million, over half a billion dollars, for the visual makeover.
