Let’s talk about saving time, our only non-renewable resource. One of the greatest time wasters can be meetings. Many business managers have a rule that no meeting lasts more than an hour. Does the school have any procedures to make sure meetings are called for a good purpose, that there will be a quorum, that a certain result is expected ahead of time? Has a superintendent ever asked the whole staff what activities were the greatest wastes of time; and then looked for ways to eliminate or reduce them? This was a big problem in the previous administration and contributed to teacher exhaustion. Perhaps it has been addressed.
