A light went on in his head while Charles W. Strittmatter of Flint Hill was ruminating how he would cast his vote last Wednesday night at a meeting of the Rappahannock County Planning Commission, whether to recommend a controversial and long-suffering lighting ordinance to the Board of Supervisors.
“I realized that we don’t need a lighting ordinance as Rappahannock is now,” said Strittmatter. “An ordinance will not change one single thing in the county the day before to the day after it goes into effect, if it does.”
But, Strittmatter said, the ordinance gives the county Board of Supervisors “the teeth (of enforcement) if a large corporation wants to come into our county and light up the
