writes new book
Franklin and Esther Schmidt of Woodville have written and photographed a hew book, “Cabin Kitchens and Baths.” The coffee table style book offers images and ideas on the design and remodel of cabin kitchens and bathrooms but applies to any style architecture.
From architecture to art, the Schmidts cover every aspect of kitchen and bathroom architecture, design and decor.
The Schmidts, residents of Rappahannock County for 30 years, are a photography, styling and writing team who are regular contributors to most of the major architectural and interior design magazines.
“We are delighted with the response the book is receiving,” says Franklin Schmidt. “We have heard from readers all over the country saying how helpful the book has been for them and the reviews are making our publisher very happy.
Publisher’s Weekly says in its June 14 review, "... . readers will find ideas for design themes ranging from Old West to English Cottage to Adirondack to Country Americana. Casual, non-specialist language and colorful pages make this how-to book accessible and inviting.”
