There is a house located on the outskirts of Flint Hill right off Route 522 that goes above and beyond the call to decorate for Christmas.
“My family always had Christmas trees and when my daughter was born I started doing this for her,” says Hugo Sinnott, who along with his wife of 26 years Catherine and daughter Erika, have been residents of Flint Hill
since June 1980. ^
Their house and yard are'covered with an extravagant display of Christmas decorations, including trees decked with candy canes, reindeer made out of lights, Santas, and even a little fireplace that looks like it has real fire burning inside. In all, there are 200,000 Christmas lights.
“I haven’t got as many lights up as I want yet. I do this for the kids, parents, and grandparents of the county,” says Sinnott.
Sinnott also has spent the past six years working on a miniature Christmas village with a train set
