We have word that Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class, Heather Dodd, has recently departed on a routine deployment on the amphibious assault ship, USS Saipan, out of Norfolk. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Francis S. Dodd of Boston. She is a graduate of Culpeper County High School and joined the navy in February 2001.
Birthday greetings for the week go out to Nina Parker, who adds another year today, Thursday, Rebecca Noel Cubbage on Christmas Eve and our newspaper editor celebrates on Sunday.
