large dominates a wall of the gallery. When this astonishing painting is viewed from the adjoining gallery room, it seems to radiate brilliant lights of distant galaxies.
More recently, Frazier has begun to paint in single layers, not disclosing any underpainting. This art, too, is full of craft and great color sense. A feeling of construction reigns in the work, of the organization of moving shapes built with the palette knife.
As Frazier says himself, he plans a center of interest, and is concerned with creating art that “leads the eye” around the painting. He paints within bounds, knows what he’s doing, has a great sense of color and an ability to apply it. He clearly edits his work successfully, and stays true to his original inspirations. Nothing but applause.
