needs and interests of youth in a community and find adult volunteers to help meet the needs by leading clubs, programs and workshops.
4-H promotes experiential learning and is designed to give its participants an opportunity to learn about a specific subject area while having fun and acquiring skills along the way such as public speaking and fund-raising. And, membership to join 4-H is free. In fact, most 4-H clubs fund-raise so that members pay minimal to no costs for supplies or trips.
Currently Rappahannock County offers its youth nine 4-H clubs. These clubs are open to anyone between the ages of 9-19, unless otherwise stated, and usually meet at least once a month. Clubs and club contacts include:
