that runs through the town. The village is stored in a little shed in his backyard that has Christmas music playing.

Dolls, Christmas figurines, and other treasures also live in the shed and are guarded by a security camera. Ideally he would like to open this to the public, but right now that is not possible because of the fear of vandalism. The security cameras are important because Sinnott says his decorations are often being tom apart and his property damaged. People have also found his lights dragged up and down 522.

“I am not going to let them get the best of me. Whatever they tear down I put up again. This is a nice county and it’s a shame that people are trying to destroy what others enjoy so much,” says Sinnott.

Sinnott and his wife Catherine say that people from other states have stopped by to see the decorations. He has even had mobile homes and children’s groups pull up in his drive way to compliment the families’ hard work.

Many have wanted to donate money to the Sinnott family to help them pay for the lights which is helpful because the Sinnott’s electric bill for these decorations has run over $1,600 for oneTnonth.

“When the lights are on we turn off the heat to save money. It doesn’t bother us. We just put on a jacket or sweater,” says Catherine.

And this help is appreciated since the Sinnott family says they have had to struggle. Sinnott was left with extensive nerve damage after he says he tripped at work as a security guard and broke his elbow and simultaneously
