The Virginia Department of Transportation is preparing to replace a posted bridge on Hunters Road (Route 621) over the Rush River.
Pending weather and successful coordination of last minute details, citizens can expect the road to be closed to through traffic for approximately one week beginning Dec. 27.
Citizens should plan alternate routes around the project and allow extra travel time during the closure period. VDOT will be placing message boards at the intersection of Route 626 and 621 and Route 622 and Route 621 posting closure dates and important public information later in the week.
