The Rappahannock jayvee boys’ basketball team was also at a disadvantage in height against Warren County. They had a difficult time scoring and fell 51-21.
The Panthers settled for a lot of outside shots during the course of the game. Rappahannock only managed two points in the first half, trailing 27-2.
“We are struggling because we don’t have a lot of competitiveness in the team,” said Panther jayvee coach Judd Hanberry.
With the size advantage, the Wildcats were able to easily get position on offense. Most of their shots came from inside five feet of the basket, so scoring was not a problem.
In the fourth quarter Rappahannock had several steals and fast break buckets. Will Boelte earned the Panthers valuable points with his free throws.
